The event is expected to see the participation of 280 international and domestic enterprises from 20 nations and territories, and 32 provinces and cities across the nation, the organising board said at a press briefing in HCM City on August 30.
Hundreds of travel agencies will attend the event.
Other prominent attendees at the expo include Tourist Ministers from the member nations of the "Ayeyawady-Chao Phraya-Mekong Economic Cooperation Strategy (ACMECS) a nd ASEAN, officials from cities in the lower Mekong basin and other localities.
Tourism bloggers from Denmark, Finland, France, Norway and the UK are invited to the event to promote Vietnam’s tourism abroad.
Forums and workshops will also be held to boost cooperation among regional countries.
A Tourism Consumer Day, art performances and a fashion show will also be conducted during the event.
It is expected to lure over 30,000 visitors, up about 20-30 percent from the 2015 version.-VNA
