Thua-Thien Hue (VNA) – The sixth Symposium on Information and Communication Technology (SoICT 2015) in central Hue city provided a platform researchers to share their latest research findings and identify future challenges in computer science.

The event, organised by the Hue University of Pedagogy in collaboration with the Hanoi University of Science and Technology on December 3-4, brought together well-known lectures and scientists from 18 countries and territories worldwide.

Keynote world-class speakers included Professor Yew Soon Ong from the Singaporean Nanyang Technology University, Professor Michihiro Koibuchi from Japan’s National Institute of Informatics, and Professor Tom Schrijvers from Belgian KU Leuven.

Participants focused on matters concerned in the field, including artificial intelligence, knowledge representation, big data, network architectures and protocols, communication, green networking, and Internet of Things.

According to Dr. Nguyen Quang Linh, Deputy Director of the Hue Univer🐈sity, the SoICT 2015 received 106 articles, with 49 presented at the event and published in the symposium’s summary book.-VNA

The PM revealed Vietnam’s plan to develop nuclear power in the near future, and called on the Swedish side to assist Vietnam in developing and refining legal and policy frameworks for the use of nuclear energy for peaceful purposes; training and developing human resources; ensuring nuclear safety; and conducting training and drills to improve incident management capabilities.
