Vietnam’s industry sector has seen continuous recovery with the index of industrial production (IIP) expanding 6.0% year on year in the first four months of this year, according to the Ministry of Industry and Trade (MoIT).

The index of industrial production (IIP) in the first eight months of 2022 surged 9.4% over the same period last year, according to the General Statistics Office (GSO).

More than 100 businesses and 43 investors of industrial clusters and nearly 20 commercial banks participated in a conference on August 15 to connect local firms of Hanoi with commercial banks and the Hanoi Development Investment Fund (HANIF).

Up to 61.4 percent of a total 5,663 enterprises in the processing-manufacturing sector faced more difficulties in production and business activities in the third quarter compared to the previous quarter due to COVID-19 impacts, according to a survey conducted by the General Statistics Office (GSO).

The index of industrial production (IIP) of major industries in Ho Chi Minh City increased 7.5 percent year-on-year in the first quarter of this year, 3.7 percentage points higher than the sector’s overall growth.

The index of industrial production (IIP) in October increased 3.6 percent from the previous month and 5.4 percent against the same period last year, reported the Ministry of Industry and Trade.
