Indonesia returns Vietnamese fishermen

The Indonesian authorities, in collaboration with the Vietnamese Embassy in Jakarta , completed procedures to repatriate 10 Vietnamese fishermen on January 21.

Jakarta (VNA) - The Indonesian authorities, in coll♓aboration with the Vietnamese Embassy in Jakarta , completed procedures to repatriate 10 Vietnamese fishermen on January 21.

The fishermen, due to limits in foreign languages and a lack of legal knowledge, were arrested and put on trial for violations of Indonesian sea territory.

Most of them were detained from a few months to two years.

According to the Vieꦫtnamese Embassy, the Indonesian authorities will release about 30 Vietnamese fishermen from now to the Lun🏅ar New Year (which falls on February 8 this year).

On January 20, three fishermen were sent back home.-VNA
