According to the official, Vietnam has sent 300 students to Russia toobtain degrees in the field, and helped numerous officials participatein short courses abroad in preparation for the implementation of theNinh Thuan nuclear power plant project.
Thenational steering committee on human resources development in the fieldof nuclear energy has instructed the Ministry of Education and Trainingand Electricity of Vietnam (EVN) to focus on personnel training, hesaid.
During the event, IAEA experts sharedtheir expertise in developing nuclear power and increasing the capacityof personnel.
They also made recommendations toVietnam’s relevant agencies on how to fulfill their human resourcesdevelopment plans in a bid to ensure the completion of the Ninh Thuanproject on time.-VNA
