ThuaThien-Hue (VNS/VNA) - The central province of Thua Thien-Hue has wonthree ASEAN tourism awards, which will be presented at the ASEAN TourismForum (ATF) 2022 in Sihanoukville, Cambodia, on January 19.
Directorof the provincial Department of Tourism Tran Huu Thuy Giang told Vietnam News the awards were seenan honour for the endless efforts made by the provincial tourism industry inchallenging COVID-19.
Hue,which offers its unique tourism service: One Destination-Five UNESCO recognisedworld heritages, bagged the ASEAN MICE destination, while Silk Path Hotel andVedana Lagoon Resort & Spa took the ‘green hotel and resort’ prize.
Tourservices in the former imperial capital, royal palace and tombs as well as theancient architecture of Hue monuments complex won the ASEAN sustainable tourismproduct.
