Hoa Binh, RoK’s locality strengthen cooperation

The northern province of Hoa Binh and Gimje city of the Republic of Korea (RoK)’s Jeollabuk province on January 9 signed a cooperation agreement to boost bilateral collaboration in economics, education and culture.

Hoa Binh (VNA) – The northern province of Hoa Binh and Gimje city ofthe Republic of Korea (RoK)’s Jeollabuk province on January 9 signed acooperation agreement to boost bilateral collaboration in economics, educationand culture.

The document was inkedat a working session between Vice Chairman of the Hoa Binh provincial People’sCommittee Bui Van Khanh and Deputy Mayor of Gimje city Cheon Daesik in theVietnamese province.

Under the agreement,both sides will work together to boost development and prosperity by steppingup cooperation in economics, education and culture based on the principles ofequality and mutual benefit.

The deal is ofconsiderable significance to intensifying mutual understanding and boostingrelations between the two countries, they said.

Welcoming the RoKcity’s working delegation, Khanh spoke highly of the Vietnam-RoK relations,especially in economics.

At present, the RoK isrunning 17 investment projects in Hoa Binh, he stated, adding that his provinceand Gimje city hold similarities and favourable conditions to establishcomprehensive collaboration.

Within the frameworkof the working visit, the Gimje delegation visited Luong Son Industrial Zone,Phuong Hoang Golf Course, and Hoa Binh hydropower plant.-VNA
