HNX’s state capital divestment auctions bring in over 1 trillion VND

More than 1 trillion VND (43 million USD) was raised through 11 auctions of shares held by State-owned enterprises on the Hanoi Stock Exchange (HNX) in the first 10 months of 2020.

Hanoi (VNA) - More than 1 trillion VND (43million USD) was raised through 11 auctions of shares held by State-ownedenterprises on the Hanoi Stock Exchange (HNX) in the first 10 months of 2020.

More than 43.4 million shares were put up for sale duringthe months. Some 42.3 million, or 97.5 percent, were sold for 1.036 trillionVND, or 186 billion VND higher than the asking price.

The 11 State capital divestment auctions included only onefrom Vietnam Electricity in October, which sold all of its 2.65 million sharesfor over 46 billion VND.

HNX said five State-owned enterprises are scheduled to carryout similar auctions this month, including the Vietnam Vegetable Oils IndustryCorporation, with over 44.2 million shares, and the Viettel Post Joint StockCorporation, with more than 4.98 million shares./.

Under a draft to amend and supplement the Government's Decree 125/2020/ND-CP on administrative sanctions for violations of tax and invoice regulations, the Ministry of Finance has proposed classifying the failure to issue invoices into five different levels. Infraction levels will correspond to fines of 1 million VND to 80 million VND, depending on the nature and number of invoicing violations.
