The event was jointly held by the BusinessAssociation of High-Quality Vietnamese Products and the Business Studies &Assistance Centre.
Experts highlighted fundamental factors thatVietnamese firms should know to enter foreign markets and obtain sustainabledevelopment such as ensuring quality of products, developing brand names, andincreasing value of materials.
The adoption of innovation solutions inmarketing and building geographical indications play a crucial role alike, theysaid.
Executive Director of GS25 Retail Group of theRepublic of Korea Ju Young Yun saidVietnam needs to ensure food safety and hygiene so that its products could be widelydistributed in the foreign markets and meet the taste of customers.
Additionally, businesses should build their ownbrand names by investing in design, label and origin of products, he said,adding this is the key to increasing the presence of made-in-Vietnam productsin the global market.
Le Viet Nga, Deputy Director of the Ministry ofIndustry and Trade’s Domestic Market Department, said the ministry hascoordinated with communication agencies to introduce businesses producing andtrading safe food.
The ministry has also carried out a number ofactivities to increase the presence of Vietnamese goods in supermarkets offoreign firms as well as launched national trade promotion programmes, sheadded.
At the workshop, businesses were updated on aset of criteria about high-quality products, including food safety andhygiene.-VNA
