HCM City (VNA) - HCM City will hold a 15-minute fireworks display to welcomein the new year of 2021, starting at midnight on new year’s eve.

Displays will take place at four venues at high altitude and one at a lowerheight.

High-altitude displays will be held at Thu Thiem Tunnel in District 2, Landmark81 and Central Park in Binh Thanh District, and the Dam Sen Cultural Park in District11.

The other display will light up the sky at the Sai Gon Hi-tech Park in District9.

According to a plan issued recently by the municipalPeople’s Committee, arts programmes will also be held around the city on newyear’s eve and the evening of January 1.

Downtown streets will be bathed in colourful lights and feature special decorations./.

Running from August 4 to September 2, under the hashtag #TuHaoVietNam, the campaign invites participants in two categories: “I Love My Country” video clips and “I Love My Country” check-in photos.

With a tight 13-month deadline, the move is under a strategic and urgent policy to bridge educational gaps, train the local workforce, and shore up territorial sovereignty in some of the country’s most remote areas.
