HCM City to provide all public services online in 2023

Ho Chi Minh City has set a target to provide 100% of public services online through completing connection with the National Public Service Portal in 2023, according to the municipal Department of Information and Communications.

Hanoi (VNA) – Ho Chi Minh City has set a target to provide 100% of publicservices online through completing connection with the National Public Service Portal in 2023, according to the municipal Department ofInformation and Communications.

HCM City will also focus on accelerating digital transformation and smart citydevelopment, the department said.

The city is striving to complete the connection with the identity authentication and populationdatabase systems of the Ministry of Public Security, as well as nationaldatabases of other ministries and sectors.

Attention will be also paid to promoting deployment of digital citizenship and adopting unified mobile applications so that people and businesses can use all publicservices anywhere and anytime.

The city also aims to operate five digitalplatforms serving management work, and put six specialised informationsystems of departments and sectors intooperation, including electronic health records of the health department and land use information of the department of natural resources and environment./.

Running from August 4 to September 2, under the hashtag #TuHaoVietNam, the campaign invites participants in two categories: “I Love My Country” video clips and “I Love My Country” check-in photos.

With a tight 13-month deadline, the move is under a strategic and urgent policy to bridge educational gaps, train the local workforce, and shore up territorial sovereignty in some of the country’s most remote areas.
