HCM City, Kyushu firms seek cooperation chances

Over 40 firms from the Japanese prefecture of Kyushu met their Vietnamese partners at a seminar in Ho Chi Minh City on September 17 to seek business chances.

Participants at the event,co-hosted by the VCCI and the Junior Chamber International of Japan,shared experience and explored possibilities of cooperation ininformation technology, food, engineering, ceramics, construction andeducation.

Director of the Ho Chi Minh City chapter of theVietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI) Vo Tan Thanh noted awave of Japanese investment in Vietnam , especially projects bysmall- and medium-sized enterprises.

Japan is now thebiggest investor in Vietnam with over 2,000 projects worth nearly 33billion USD as of August 2013.

The Kyushu authorities aredeveloping industries of their strong points such as construction,tourism, processing industry, electronics and automobile, said therepresentative of the Japanese side.-VNA

Maximum fine 🐠of 3,000 USD proposed for violating invoice regulations

Under a draft to amend and supplement the Government's Decree 125/2020/ND-CP on administrative sanctions for violations of tax and invoice regulations, the Ministry of Finance has proposed classifying the failure to issue invoices into five different levels. Infraction levels will correspond to fines of 1 million VND to 80 million VND, depending on the nature and number of invoicing violations.
