HCM City (VNA) - Investors in HCM City will receive constructionpermits within 15 working days after applying online for level 3 public serviceregistrations, according to the city’s People’s Committee. Construction permits will be grantedafter approval of the application. The online service aims to offerconvenience and shorten the time of administrative procedures to individualsand companies, and improve the management of construction projects. The district people’s committees areresponsible for granting online construction permits to investors within 15days from the date of issued online receipts. A construction permit forresidential houses in the city will cost 50,000 VND (2.2 USD) per unit. Residents do not have to go to localoffices and will only have to register for construction permits by submittingdocuments online. Missing or invalid profiles will besent back to be adjusted. Additions can be sent via text message or email. Individuals and companies have tovisit the office only once to pay the fees and receive the permit. Last year, the people’s committeesof districts 8 and Tan Binh carried out level 3 online public serviceregistration level 3 on issuing construction permits. The city’s Department ofConstruction plans to apply electronic construction permits on a trial run inearly July, which would help shorten the time for approval to 42 days from thecurrent 133 days.
