HCM City: Ice sculpture exhibition opens at Dam Sen Park

An exhibition of ice sculptures made by artisans from Harbin, the capital of Heilongjiang Province in China, has opened at Dam Sen Tourist Park in HCM City.

HCMCity (VNA) - An exhibition of ice sculptures made by artisans fromHarbin, the capital of Heilongjiang Province in China, has opened at Dam SenTourist Park in HCM City, and will remain open until September 2017.

 “Theice world” features 18 replicas of iconic structures and spiritual and culturalsymbols in Vietnam and other countries, including the Lotus Tower in India,Great Stupa in Laos, Basil’s Cathedral in Russia, Angkor Wat in Cambodia, AuGang Maitreya, Ben Thanh Market in HCM City, One Pillar Pagoda in Hanoi, andDragon Bridge in Da Nang.

Thisexhibition features a combination of crystal clear and opalescent ice andnon-ice works at minus 10 degrees Celsius.

Twentyartisans from Harbin and 50 Vietnamese engineers and technicians worked for awhole month to create the works.

The2,000sq.m exhibition requires 750 cubic metres of ice and 2,000 colourlights.-VNA
