HCM City (VNA)🌳 - The Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of HoChi Minh City held a conference on April 17 to raise public awareness of seasand islands this year and launched a programme aimed to raise 76 billion VND (3.3million USD) for a programme called "For Green Truong Sa" (Spratly).

Speaking at the event, chairwoman of the committee Tran Kim Yen said the city has launched a campaign in supportof a fund for the homeland’s seas and islands to carry out the programme “For GreenTruong Sa” for the 2023-2025 period. The programme "For Green Truong Sa" will run fromnow until April 30 or until the expected target of 76 billion VND is reached. In the coming days, the municipaldelegation will visit officers, soldiers, and people in Truong Sa islanddistrict and DK1/14 platform, and present them with 20 billion VNDfor the purchase of seedlings, vegetable seeds, materials and fertilizers andbuilding of community gardens./.

Running from August 4 to September 2, under the hashtag #TuHaoVietNam, the campaign invites participants in two categories: “I Love My Country” video clips and “I Love My Country” check-in photos.
