The bonus level exceeded the highest level of nearly 1.1 billion VND recorded in theLunar New Year in 2021.
Results from a survey bythe department of more than 1,000 businesses that are employing nearly 175,000workers in the city shows that despite many difficulties due to the COVID-19pandemic, many local businesses still try to give Tet bonuses to their employees.
According to Le Minh Tan, Director of the department, this year’s Tetbonus in the city is averagely 4.2 million VND (over 184 USD), down more thanhalf compared to the Lunar New Year 2021.
Apart from the bonus, local enterprises have plannedother forms of pre-Tet support for their workers like gifts and train/bus/flighttickets for returning home, Tan said .
