Hanoi’s November CPI rises 0.47 percent

Hanoi’s consumer price index (CPI) in November rose by 0.47 percent over October, according to the municipal statistics office.

Hanoi (VNA) - Hanoi’s consumer priceindex (CPI) in November rose by 0.47 percent over October, according to themunicipal statistics office.

The index was up 5.45 percent compared to the same period last year.

Price increases were seen in eight goods and services groups with the highesthike reported in transportation at 1.48 percent.

Other groups recorded price increase werehousing, electricity and water (0.53 percent); food and catering (0.46percent); and other goods and services (0.36 percent).

Prices increasedslightly between 0.04 percent and 0.28 percent for medicines and health careservices; cultural, recreational and tourism products; apparel, headwear and footwear; household devises andequipment.

Prices of telecommunication, education services,beverages and tobacco remained stable in the reviewed period.

The price of US dollar rose 0.17 percent,while the gold price dropped 2.14 percent against the previous month.-VNA
