A Vietnamese delegationof the Foreign Ministry and the Vietnam multimedia corporation (VTC)is on a trip to Laos to prepare for the event.

Lao Ministerof Information and Culture Mounkeo Oraboune was pleased as Vietnamhas chosen his country as a place of the programme.

Receiving the delegation in Vientiane on July 7, the ministeraffirmed Laos will create favourable conditions for the event, helpingthe Lao people, particularly the young generation, better understandthe millennium anniversary of Thang Long-Hanoi and the 450 thanniversary of Vientiane capital as well as the special solidarity,friendship and comprehensive cooperation between the two country.

TranNgoc Diep, VTC Vice Director, said the live TV programme aims topromote Hanoi ’s thousand-year-old history to the world on theoccasion of its millennium anniversary and turn the celebration into afestive day of the national great unity bloc.

It also honours thecontributions of other countries to Hanoi’s culture and marks the 450th anniversary of Vientiane capital./.
