Hanoi (VNA) – Hanoi authorities had a meeting with representativesfrom central-level and Hanoi news agencies on June 17 on the occasion of the 92thanniversary of Vietnam Revolutionary Press Day (June 21, 1925 – 2017).

Chairwoman of the municipal People’s Council Nguyen Thi Bich Ngoc acknowledgedthe press’ role in capturing Hanoi’s growth progress and building the image ofa dynamic capital city.

She expected the news agencies to continue covering the local political andsocio-economic affairs as well as reflecting the voice of the city’s residents,organisations and businesses, which could be conducive to its policy making andmanagement.

Participating journalists took note of the city’s prompt disclosure of pressingissues, but urged local authorities to be more open to the public.

Previously, as the press day came closer, leaders from the municipal PartyCommittee, People’s Council and People’s Committee visited and congratulated journalistsat the Vietnam News Agency, the Radio Voice of Vietnam, and People’s Army Newspaper,among others.-VNA

“I Love My Country” media campaign launched

Running from August 4 to September 2, under the hashtag #TuHaoVietNam, the campaign invites participants in two categories: “I Love My Country” video clips and “I Love My Country” check-in photos.

With a tight 13-month deadline, the move is under a strategic and urgent policy to bridge educational gaps, train the local workforce, and shore up territorial sovereignty in some of the country’s most remote areas.

🌳 Tour boats in Ha Long Bay to complete AIS installation by August 15
