Hanoi to get new car park complex

Vice Chairman of Hanoi People's Committee Nguyen Quoc Hung has approved a project to build a 18-billion VND (839,000 USD) car park complex, named Hai Boi, Dong Anh district on the outskirts of Hanoi.

The online newspaper VnMedia reported that the complex covers14,047sqm, divided into several functional sections, including a carpark (2,509sq.m), green area (4,393sq.m), internal roads (5,502sq.m) andadministration building (117sq.m), as well as a car wash (117sq.m),technical utilities (electricity and water (53sq.m) and a reservoir(1,311sq.m).

VnMedia interviewed a city leader, whosaid the car park complex was designed to help meet the rising carparking needs in Dong Anh district and the city as a whole.

The leader, who did not want to be named, said the Hanoi TradeCorporation (Hapro), the car park's developer, has been told to keep thecomplex's design in harmony with other projects nearby, and in linewith the district planning as well.

He said the city had drawnthe developer's particular attention to ensuring the safety of therailways, roads, bridges and bridge link roads in the neighbourhood,while carrying out its work.

Work on the project is scheduled to start from the third quarter this year and end in 2017.-VNA
