Hanoi spring book fair earns over 4 billion VND on Tet holiday
The spring book fair at Hanoi’s Book Street earned more than 4 billion VND (177,200 USD) from selling some 80,000 books from February 18 (the third day of the Lunar New Year 2018) to 25.

Hanoi (VNA) – The spring book fair atHanoi’s Book Street earned more than 4 billion VND (177,200 USD) from selling some80,000 books from February 18 (the third day of the Lunar New Year 2018) to 25. According tothe city’s Department of Information and Communication, Kim Dong PublishingHouse recorded the highest revenue of more than 400 million VND (17,720 USD),followed by Thai Ha and Nha Nam stock companies.
The most attractive titles to readers featured thefourth industrial revolution, Vietnam’s history through pictures, Hanoi’straditional dishes and Tet celebrations.

The street features 16 booths with easy accessfor children and people with disabilities, along with public computers forreaders to search for information, free wifi and water.

There is a huge difference between the milling crowds in Ho Chi Minh City’s Book Street and the lack of people in the Hanoi equivalent in a short street simply called December 19.
Ho Chi Minh City will host cultural and amusement events at many places in the downtown area during the Tet (the Lunar New Year) holiday, which will begin on February 15.
