The spring book fair at Hanoi’s Book Street earned more than 4 billion VND (177,200 USD) from selling some 80,000 books from February 18 (the third day of the Lunar New Year 2018) to 25.

Hanoi (VNA) –
The spring book fair atHanoi’s Book Street earned more than 4 billion VND (177,200 USD) from selling some80,000 books from February 18 (the third day of the Lunar New Year 2018) to 25. According tothe city’s Department of Information and Communication, Kim Dong PublishingHouse recorded the highest revenue of more than 400 million VND (17,720 USD),followed by Thai Ha and Nha Nam stock companies.

[Spring book street opens in Hanoi]

 The most attractive titles to readers featured thefourth industrial revolution, Vietnam’s history through pictures, Hanoi’straditional dishes and Tet celebrations.

Hanoi’s first Book Street debuted on May 1 atDecember 19 Street of Hoan Kiem district, aiming to promote reading culture.

The street features 16 booths with easy accessfor children and people with disabilities, along with public computers forreaders to search for information, free wifi and water.
