Hanoi ranks among top 10 in exports in 2022: report

The capital city of Hanoi was named among the country’s top 10 localities in exports in 2022 in the latest annual report on imports and exports unveiled by the Ministry of Industry and Trae (MoIT) on April 27.

Hanoi (VNA)🌳 - The capital city of Hanoi was named among the country’s top 10 localities in exports in 2022 in the latest annual report on imports and exports unveiled by the Ministry of Industry and Trae (MoIT) on April 27.

Posting an export revenue of 17.1 billion USD, the capital city was ranked eighth in the list.
This is the seventh year in a row the MoIT has compiled the report, which gives an insight into the export of each group of commodities, markets, the utilisation of opportunities generated by free trade agreements, and export-import management. Ho Chi Minh City led the top 10 localities in export earnings, followed by Bac Ninh, Binh Duong, Thai Nguyen, Hai Phong, Dong Nai, Bac Giang, Hanoi, Phu Tho and Hai Duong.
Experts said the report has received a warm response from stakeholders, including associations, State management agencies, and businesses. Notably, the 2022 report provided information about the national import-export strategy for 2023, along with updates on the joining of the Comprehensive and Progressive Agreement for Trans-Pacific (CPTPP) by a number of economies and the ratification of the deal, and new points in the implementation of trade promotion activities./.
