Hanoi (VNA)ꦕ – The Hanoi People’s Council adopted a resolution relieving Nguyen Thi Nguyet Huong of her post as deputy of the council for the 2016-2020 tenure during its third working day of the second session in Hanoi on August 3.

The voting result showed that all 96 council members agreed to reject her eligibility.
According to the resolution, Huong dishonestly filed an asset declaration when applying for the position of deputy to the 14th NA and the 15th People’s Council for 2016-2020. Moreover, her Maltese naturalisation was a violation of the Constitution, the Law on the Election of Deputies to the National Assembly and People’s Council, and the Law on Nationality. Also at the meeting, the municipal People’s Council voted to approve a resolution on State management decentralisation in socio-economic sectors and another on the contents of the second meeting of the 15 th People’s Council.
They also passed a resolution on the city’s socio-economic development for 2016-2021 Speaking at the closing ceremony, Chairwoman of the municipal People’s Council Nguyen Thi Bich Ngoc hailed the city’s socio-economic development and stable political-social security and safety in the first half of this year. On the occasion, Ngoc asked the municipal People’s Committee and agencies to materialise adopted resolutions, update voters about the outcomes of the session, and accelerate law enforcement and the implementation of resolutions.-VNA
