The honoured Russian citizens includeformer President of the Russia-Vietnam Friendship Association (RVFA)Evghni Glazunov and the Head of the Administrative Division ofSerpukhov, Moscow province, Aleksander Shestun.
Addressingthe ceremony held at the Vietnamese embassy, Deputy Secretary ofHanoi ’s Party Committee Tuong Phi Chien highlighted the contributionsthe individuals made to cementing cooperation and boosting ties betweenthe two cities and countries. Glazunov and Shestun thankedthe Vietnamese State and Government for their kind sentiments andsaid they were honoured to receive such a title.
On October 7this year, the Chairman of the Hanoi ’s People’s Committee agreed togrant the title to 12 outstanding international individuals, includingthree Russians citizens.
Vladimir Buianov, Chairman of theRussia- Vietnam Friendship Association, was awarded the title during hisvisit to Vietnam last month on the occasion of Hanoi’s 15 thanniversary as a City of Peace.-VNA
