Hanoi, HCM City to host European Music Festival

Hanoi (VNA) – The 15th European Music Festival will be held in Hanoi and ꦑHo Chi Minh City from November 18 to Dece♐mber 3, the Delegation of the European Union (EU) to Vietnam said at a press briefing on November 9.

The festival is an annual cultural event jointly organised by the EU Delegation to Vietnam, Embassies of EU member countries in Vietnam and European Culture Institutes.

It has become a bridge connecting people in all fields and contributed to enhancing mutual knowledge and understanding among the people of European countries and Vietnam.

The festival comprises 16 shows with the participation of talented artists from Austria, Belgium, France, Germany, Italia, Hungary, Poland, Slovakia and Sweden with various music genres such as classic, jazz, rock and indie-pop.

Well-known Hungarian violist Katica Illenyi will perform with the Vietnam National Symphony Orchestra at the Vietnam National Academy of Music in Hanoi.

Meanwhile, the jazz tꦅrio from Italia and Germany, including artists Angelika Niescier, Simone Zanchini and Stefano Senni, will perform in HCM City.-VNA
