Hanoi(VNA) – Hanoi is calling for investment in environmentally friendly large-scaleprojects that use advanced technologies.

According to thecity’s promotion programme for trade, investment and tourism in 2017, it will prioritiseprojects in urban infrastructure development, especially those that connect NoiBai International Airport and Nhat Tan Bridge; hi-tech agriculture; retailing;healthcare; education and culture.

The capital aims tocarry out more projects under public-private partnership agreements and draw morethan 3 billion USD in foreign direct investment. It also hopes to have 80percent of applications for business registration done online and plans topilot granting investment licences online.

In addition, localauthorities will enhance partnerships with other cities and provinces acrossthe country to distribute high quality “made in Vietnam” products in the cityand provide more support for local producers to improve product quality andhelp them access domestic and overseas markets.

The city willcontinue promoting tourism at international fairs with the focus on key marketslike Europe, the United States, Southeast Asia, Northeast Asia, South Asia andthe Middle East.-VNA
