“The sun sets over the mountain range across thevalley, and the fading light paints the town and surrounding area withan array of colour”, the newspaper describes the view at Ham Rong.
The name of Ham Rong (dragon jaw) was derived from the legend that, inprimitive age there were a couple of dragons which became attached toeach other while the deluge was rising high. Walking up, they wereseparated from each other and drifted to different places. The femaledragon was petrified and tried to look for the male dragon on the HoangLien Mountain in the west.
Currently, Ham Rong Mountain is home to a number of some pretty orchid gardens and "rock gardens".
