Indonesia has reaffirmed its commitment to achieving net-zero emissions by 2060, with environmental sustainability and resilience becoming key pillars in the country's national development vision.

Vietnam wishes to further strengthen cooperation with Germany in vocational education and sending Vietnamese workers to the European country to work in the context of Germany's recent revision of its foreign worker reception policy, stated Deputy Minister of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs Le Tan Dung at a meeting with Country Director of Germany Development Agency (GIZ) in Vietnam Michaela Baur in Hanoi on September 17.

The Indonesian Manpower Ministry is ready to support the deployment of green jobs in the country towards sustainable development in the 2025-2029 period, according to the ministry's secretary general, Anwar Sanusi.

Vietnam is moving towards green growth, hence resulting in an increasing demand for green jobs and green skills in the labour market.

The green economy will create 4.4 million new jobs in Indonesia in 2030, Antara news agency reported, quoting Deputy for Economic Affairs at the Indonesian Ministry of National Development Planning (Bappenas) Amalia Adininggar Widyasanti as saying at the Green Jobs Conference.

Deputy Minister of Labour, Invalids, and Social Affairs Doan Mau Diep joined other ASEAN member states’ labour officials to attend the 25th ASEAN Labour Ministers Meeting (ALMM) in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia on November 28.
