HCM City (VNA) – Greek businessesare keen to promote cooperation with Vietnam and particularly Ho Chi Minh Cityin the field of seaport.

Greece’s Minister of Foreign Affairs NikosKotzias made the remark at a meeting with Chairman of the municipal People’sCommittee Nguyen Thanh Phong in the city on February 14.

He said Greece is willing to serve as a bridgefor Vietnamese enterprises, especially those from HCM City, to make inroadsinto the European market. 

The diplomat suggested the two sides enhancecooperation in cultural exchanges, art and music to strengthen their mutualunderstanding and solidarity, as well as collaboration in politics, externalaffairs, and economics.

Phong said the trade and investment relationsbetween Greece and HCM City are still modest and below the bilateralcooperation potential. 

Therefore, the city hopes Greece will step upcooperative activities in the fields of its strength such as seaport, tourism,culture and art, he recommended.

He asserted that the southern metropolis willcreate the optimal conditions for foreign companies, including Greek ones, tomake long-term business in the city.-VNA

Infraction levels will correspond to fines of 1 million VND to 80 million VND, depending on the nature and number of invoicing violations.
