Vietnamese Grandmaster Le Quang Liem has entered the semi-final round of the ongoing Millionaire Chess tournament in Las Vegas in the United States.
Liem drew with Filippino Wesley So, former champion, in the seventh match on October 12.
The Vietnamese player ranks second with six points. The other semi-finalists are GM Yu Yangyi of China, GM Aleksandr Lenderman and GM Hikaru Nakamura of the host country.
The semi-final and final rounds are scheduled to take place on October 13.
