Gifts come to policy beneficiaries in Phu Quoc island

On the occasion of the War Invalids andMartyrs’ Day (July 27), the NA Vice Chairwoman and the provincialleaders also offered incense at the local martyrs’ cemetery and visitedthe Phu Quoc prison historical relic site.

During thevisit, the delegation presented 40,000 cups of milk to poor children andthose born in families with contributions to the country’s revolutionin Phu Quoc island.

The milk donation was part of the“Vietnam Rising” Milk Fund programme jointly implemented by the NationalFund for Vietnamese Children and the Vietnam Dairy Products JointStock Company (Vinamilk).

The programme plans togive more than 67,000 cups of milk to children in Kien Giang province.It will also be carried out in the northern province of Yen Bai andthe central province of Quang Binh this year.-VNA
