Phnom Penh (VNA) – Vietnamese Cambodians held a get-together to celebrate VietnameseDoctors’ Day in Phnom Penh on February 27.

The event gathered Cambodian doctors of Vietnamese origin, Vietnamesebusinesses operating in Cambodia and representatives of Vietnameserepresentative agencies in the country.

Speaking at the gathering, Hoang Hoa, deputy head of the associationof Vietnamese Cambodian doctors, said the organisation, operating sinceFebruary 26 last year, has engaged in charity activities in healthcare for theVietnamese community in Cambodia, such as providing free medical advices,check-ups, and medicines.

Lauding the association’s contributions to public health, VietnameseAmbassador to Cambodia Vu Quang Minh and head of the General Association ofVietnamese Cambodians Chau Van Chi congratulated the doctors on their day.

They said they support upcoming activities of the associationof Vietnamese Cambodian doctors, urging the organisation to soon hold a congressto elect an executive board, increase its membership, and boost connectivitywith Cambodian doctors.-VNA

Running from August 4 to September 2, under the hashtag #TuHaoVietNam, the campaign invites participants in two categories: “I Love My Country” video clips and “I Love My Country” check-in photos.
