Fulbright helps local universities in administrative skills

They made the point at the opening on March 5 of a two-day workshopsponsored by the US-funded Fulbright Programme at Hong Duc Universityin the central province of Thanh Hoa .

The workshop compared educational management in Vietnam against therest of the world, discussed models and management mechanisms atuniversities governed at the provincial and municipal levels, and howto revamp their administrative procedures.

Vietnam now boasts 18 local universities, which have been recentlyfounded under a Government decision and put under provincial ormunicipal administration./.

Running from August 4 to September 2, under the hashtag #TuHaoVietNam, the campaign invites participants in two categories: “I Love My Country” video clips and “I Love My Country” check-in photos.

With a tight 13-month deadline, the move is under a strategic and urgent policy to bridge educational gaps, train the local workforce, and shore up territorial sovereignty in some of the country’s most remote areas.
