A top Vietnamese lawmaker has urged the Vietnam-Laos and Laos-Vietnam Friendship Associations to increase the dissemination of information about the traditional friendship and comprehensive cooperation between the two countries among their people, especially the youths.

Hanoi (VNA) – A top Vietnamese lawmakerhas urged the Vietnam-Laos and Laos-Vietnam Friendship Associations to increase the dissemination of information about thetraditional friendship and comprehensive cooperation between the two countriesamong their people, especially the youths.   

National Assembly Vice Chairwoman Tong Thi Phong madethe request when receiving Chairman of the Laos – Vietnam FriendshipAssociation Vilayvong Bouddakham in Hanoi on November 23.

Phong said Vietnam will work closelywith Laos to successfully organise upcoming events, including celebrations for the 55th anniversary of Vietnam-Laos diplomatic relations and the 40th anniversaryof the signing of the Vietnam – Laos Treaty of Amity and Cooperation.

She believedthat the Lao delegation’s visit will contribute to consolidating the specialsolidarity and comprehensive cooperation between the two Parties andGovernments.

Vilayvong Bouddakham informed his host about the outcomesof cooperation between the two associations in the recent time and preparationsfor the approaching major events./.
