Friendship association fosters Vietnam - Russia relations

The Vietnam-Russia Friendship Association has held many activities in various fields since the start of this year and become a bridge for cooperation in economy-trade, culture-education and science-technology between the nations, said its President Tran Binh Minh.

Lang Son (VNA) – The Vietnam-Russia Friendship Association has heldmany activities in various fields since the start of this year and become abridge for cooperation in economy-trade, culture-education andscience-technology between the nations, said its President Tran Binh Minh.

Minh made the statement at the association’s meeting which took place in thenorth province of Lang Son on July 28.

The association’s portal was launched in February, promptly proving informationand updates on significant events and foreign activities of Vietnam and Russia.

The Vietnam-Russia Friendship Association’s activities have also enhancedpeople-to-people exchanges, contributing to the Vietnam-Russia traditionalfriendship.

In the coming time, the association is set to arrange visits of Russiandelegations to Vietnam while stepping up communication work.

On the occasion, the association presented awards to 38 winners of a writing contest on memories inRussia and the Vietnam-Russia friendship, which was held to celebrate 100 yearsof the Russian October Revolution. -VNA

“I Love My Country” media campaign launched

Running from August 4 to September 2, under the hashtag #TuHaoVietNam, the campaign invites participants in two categories: “I Love My Country” video clips and “I Love My Country” check-in photos.

With a tight 13-month deadline, the move is under a strategic and urgent policy to bridge educational gaps, train the local workforce, and shore up territorial sovereignty in some of the country’s most remote areas.
