Fourth International Day of Yoga comes to Gia Lai

The 4th International Day of Yoga (IDY) took place in Plaiku city, the Central Highlands province of Kon Tum on June 28, with the participation of nearly 200 people.

GiaLai (VNA) - The 4th International Day of Yoga (IDY) took place inPlaiku city, the Central Highlands province of Kon Tum on June 28, with theparticipation of nearly 200 people.

The event was jointly organised by the provincial Department of Culture, Sportsand Tourism and the Indian Consulate General in Ho Chi Minh City.

The event of this kind was held in succession from June 16 - July 15, 2018 in11 provinces and cities of Vietnam, including HCM City, Hanoi, Da Nang, NhaTrang, Dong Nai, Can Tho, Dak Lak, Tien Giang, Vinh Phuc, Kien Giang and GiaLai.

The IDY is to honour the5,000-year-old physical, mental and spiritual practice originating in India,which aims to transform both body and mind.

It helps those who practice yoga improve their health and life quality.-VNA

“I Love My Country” media campaign launched

Running from August 4 to September 2, under the hashtag #TuHaoVietNam, the campaign invites participants in two categories: “I Love My Country” video clips and “I Love My Country” check-in photos.

With a tight 13-month deadline, the move is under a strategic and urgent policy to bridge educational gaps, train the local workforce, and shore up territorial sovereignty in some of the country’s most remote areas.
