Children in the central province of Binh Thuan raised their voice about violence and abuse and were heard by policy-makers at a forum on July 18.

BinhThuan (VNA) – Children in the central province of Binh Thuan raised theirvoice about violence and abuse and were heard by policy-makers at a forum onJuly 18.

Theyoung participants expressed their hope to be able to grow up in a safeenvironment.

Theygot updated about the Child Law, including their rights and duties.

Theyalso learned skills for violence detection and self-defence, in answer to theirqueries about child abuse and what to do as a victim of violence.

NgoVan Duy, Vice Director of the Binh Thuan Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs,highlighted the Party’s and Government’s great attention and efforts to protectthe young generations.

Healso talked about serious child abuse cases, which took place recently andprovoked public outcries.

Theforum sent out the message to the community on building a safe environment freefrom violence and abuse for children.-VNA

“I Love My Country” media campaign launched

Running from August 4 to September 2, under the hashtag #TuHaoVietNam, the campaign invites participants in two categories: “I Love My Country” video clips and “I Love My Country” check-in photos.

With a tight 13-month deadline, the move is under a strategic and urgent policy to bridge educational gaps, train the local workforce, and shore up territorial sovereignty in some of the country’s most remote areas.
