Former Politburo member and former Deputy Prime Minister Truong Vinh Trong passed away at his home at 3:25am on February 19 in Luong Thuan hamlet, Luong Quoi commune, Giong Trom district, the Mekong Delta province of Ben Tre due to old age and serious illness.

Hanoi (VNA) – Former Politburo member and formerDeputy Prime Minister Truong Vinh Trong passed away at his home at 3:25am onFebruary 19 in Luong Thuan hamlet, Luong Quoi commune, Giong Trom district, theMekong Delta province of Ben Tre due to old age and serious illness.
The committee on health care for members of the PartyCentral Committee made the announcement the same day.
Born in 1942, Truong Vinh Trong was former Chairman of theParty Central Committee’s Commission for Home Affairs.
He was member of the 10th tenure Politburo,Secretary of the Party Central Committee for the 9th and 10th tenures, alternate member of the Party Central Committee in the 6th tenureand official member of the Party Central Committee in the 7th, 8th,9th and 10th tenures. He held the post of Deputy PrimeMinister from June 2006 to August 2011 and served as deputy of the NationalAssembly in the 8th and 11th tenure.
The plan for respect-paying ceremony, memorial service andburial ceremony will be announced later./.

Former member of the Politburo of the Communist Party of Vietnam Central Committee Nguyen Duc Binh, who is also former Chairman of the Central Theoretical Council and former Director of the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics, has passed away at the age of 92.
Former Politburo member and former President Le Duc Anh passed away at 20:10 on April 22 at his house on Hoang Dieu street in Hanoi due to illness and old age, according to the National Commission of Health Services for Senior Officials.
