Lam Dong (VNA) – Foreign diplomatic delegations, localities andpartners want to cooperate with the Central Highlands province of Lam Dong inagriculture and tourism, heard a meeting held in the locality on December 24 aspart of the on-going 7th Da Lat Flowers Festival 2017.
The event drew the participation of 20 delegations from foreign countries likeAzerbaijan, Belarus, Indonesia, Thailand, China, Japan, the Republic of Korea,Laos, Australia, Romania and the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA)in Vietnam.
Pham S, Vice Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee, briefed the guestson local socio-economic situation and laid stress on high-tech agricultureproduction in the province, its strengths to develop agricultural andhigh-quality tourism.
Fujita Yasuo, Chief Representative of the JICA Office in Vietnam, saidthat Japanese businesses are interested in providing official development assistance(ODA) for the province in post-harvest preservation.
He hoped that the locality will cooperate with the Japanese sides to put forththe programmes.
Meanwhile, Azerbaijani Ambassador to Vietnam said that his country will grantten scholarships, from bachelor to PhD, for Lam Dong province’s externalaffairs sector.
At the event, Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee Doan Van Vietanswered queries of the participants while highlighting that the locality willwork to effectuate cooperative programmes, helping promote economic developmentand tighten diplomatic ties between Vietnam and foreign countries.-VNA
