Welcoming the delegation, Lieutenant General Phi Quoc Tuan, Commanderof the capital city’s High Command, affirmed that the foreign militaryattaches have, over the years, made contributions to consolidating andincreasing the relations and mutual understanding between the People’sArmy of Vietnam and other countries’ armies, thus maintaining politicaland security stability in the region and the world.

Colonel Matthew Dudley, Australian military attache, on behalf of thevisiting delegation, expressed his hope that the foreign militaryattaches will have more chances to visit the Hanoi ’s High Commandand military units in the city to strengthen exchange visits amongmilitary forces.

Earlier, the delegation paid acourtesy visit to Pham Quang Nghi, politburo member and Secretary of themunicipal Party Committee and visited an armoured battalion under thecapital city’s High Command.-VNA
