Foreign companies assist poor households

Three foreign oil companies will co-sponsor the building of houses and provide loans to 46 poor households in the Mekong delta province of Kien Giang at a total cost of 470 million VND.

Anagreement to the effect was signed in Hanoi on July 22 by the ChevronCorporation of the US , the Mitsui Oil Exploration Co., Ltd. ofJapan and the PTT Exploration and Production Public Company Limited(PTTEP) and the Habitat for Humanity Vietnam

Addressing the signing ceremony, President of Chevron Vietnam Ltd. HankTomlinson said that the programme is expected to help improve the livingconditions of the project’s beneficiaries.

The three companies are involved in a gas supply project in the Mekong delta./.

Running from August 4 to September 2, under the hashtag #TuHaoVietNam, the campaign invites participants in two categories: “I Love My Country” video clips and “I Love My Country” check-in photos.
