“For a Green Vietnam” video contest launched

- The portal of the Ho Chi MinhCommunist Youth Union (HCYU) and the French Development Agency (AFD)co-launched the “For a Green Vietnam” video contest in Hanoi on June 29.
The competition is for individuals and groups ofpeople studying, working, and living in Vietnam aged under 35.
Entries are to be short clips made with Tiktoksoftware with a maximum length of 60 seconds, featuring solutions, initiatives,and activities that contribute to environmental protection and climate changeadaptation.
The contest takes place from July 6 to August 6 and focuseson six themes: growing trees, preserving biodiversity, preventing plastic wasteand using recycled materials, saving electricity and water, coping with climatechange, and protecting the land, water, and air environment.
Entrants can post their clips onTiktok with the hashtag #vimotVietNamxanh or share them on the fanpage //facebook.com/vimotvietnamxanh.vn/.
There will be one first prize, twosecond, and three third worth 10 million VND (430 USD), 5 millionVND, and 3 million VND each, respectively.
The organising board will alsopresent one “Selection” prize, one “Creative” prize, and four consolationprizes, each worth 2 million VND.
The awards ceremony is slated forSeptember in Hanoi./.

“I Love My Country” media campaign launched

Running from August 4 to September 2, under the hashtag #TuHaoVietNam, the campaign invites participants in two categories: “I Love My Country” video clips and “I Love My Country” check-in photos.

With a tight 13-month deadline, the move is under a strategic and urgent policy to bridge educational gaps, train the local workforce, and shore up territorial sovereignty in some of the country’s most remote areas.
