Vietnam’s national men’s football team will take on the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK) in a friendly match that will take place at Thong Nhat Stadium in Ho Chi Minh City on October 6.

HCM City (VNA) – Vietnam’s national men’s football team will take on the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK) in a friendly match that will take place at Thong Nhat Stadium in Ho Chi Minh City on October 6.

Speaking at a press conference ahead of the game, Vietnam’s head coach Nguyen Huu Thang said the DPRK players are physically stronger than Vietnamese and is a strong team in Asia.

Captain Le Cong Vinh showed his optimism that his team, including the best players in Vietnam at the moment, will make the game fascinating.

The result of the match will depend on the formation, playing style and luck as well, he said.

Meanwhile, the DPRK’s head coach Jorn Anderson, who is the first foreign coach of the country, said he considers every match abroad a chance for his players to hone their skills.
