Fireworks express desire for love, friendship on Da Nang’s night sky

Da Nang (VNA) – Teams from Portugal and Swedentreated the audience in Da Nang city with their colourful fireworks performanceson the banks of the Han River on June 9 to convey the desire for love andfriendship.

The fourth night of the Da Nang InternationalFireworks Festival (DIFF) 2018 took place under the theme “Desire”.

Through fireworks, team GöteborgsFyrverkeriFabrik from Sweden told a story about the bridges, rivers andfriendship between its country and Vietnam. The background music also featuredbridge-themed songs, including some rock ones composed in the 1980s.

Leif Martin Hildeberg, head of the team, saidthe long-standing friendship between Vietnam and Sweden inspired his team’sfirework show.

Meanwhile, team Grupo Luso of Portugal had askillful performance by using new types of fireworks and rock music for theirdisplay.

Earlier, local residents and visitors to Da Nangenjoyed fireworks displays of the teams from Vietnam and Poland on April 30,France and the US on May 26, Italy and Hong Kong (China) on June 2.

The best two teams, which are expected to beannounced on June 10, will perform in the finale on June 30.

Apart from the overall theme “The Legend ofBridges” of the DIFF 2018, each of the fireworks nights also takes its owntheme, namely Love, Time, Happiness, Desire, and Friendship.

The annual event was first held in 2008 and hasbecome a special attraction of Da Nang city.-VNA
