History and the development of Ho Chi Minh City have been highlighted at an exhibition opened in four locations – Nguyen Hue and Dong Khoi streets, the opposition area of Chi Lang Park and Labour Culture Palace in District 1 of the city on April 26.

HCM City(VNA) – History and the development of Ho Chi Minh City have been highlightedat an exhibition opened in four locations – Nguyen Hue and Dong Khoi streets,the opposition area of Chi Lang Park and Labour Culture Palace in District 1 ofthe city on April 26.

Themed “Ho Chi MinhCity – Aspiration for Rising Highly”, the exhibition in Nguyen Hue street displays84 photos featuring the struggle of the army and people for liberation of the Southand national reunification, as well as the strong growth of the city in thepast over four decades.

In Dong Khoi streetand Labour Culture Palace, the exhibition also showcases 50 photos on the activenessand renovation of workers in Ho Chi Minh City, along with nearly 70 photos on thepromotion of patriotism of the working class during national moderniation andindustrialisation.

The photos revived thepatriotism movements of Sai Gon – Gia Dinh – Cho Lon workers during the waragainst the US under the leadership of the National Front for Liberation of theSouth, liberating the south and reunifying the country.

The event, part ofactivities to mark the 43rd South Liberation and National Reunification Day andthe 132nd May Day, will last until May 4.-VNA

Running from August 4 to September 2, under the hashtag #TuHaoVietNam, the campaign invites participants in two categories: “I Love My Country” video clips and “I Love My Country” check-in photos.
