Equatorial Guinea keen on expanding ties with Vietnam

Hanoi (VNA) – Vietnamese Ambassador to Equatorial Guinea Nguyen Manh Cuong haspresented his credentials to President of the host country Obiang NguemaMbasogo who affirmed his country is interested in expanding ties with Vietnam.
President Mbasogo underlined the warm feelings he and people of thecentral African country have for Vietnam, while recalling his memories ofVietnam’s past struggle for independence.
He lauded the achievements of Vietnam during the country’s development aswell as regional and international integration, expressing his pleasure at the growthof ties between Vietnam and Equatorial Guinea.
He said the experience of Vietnam in economic reform and development arehelpful for his country in restructuring and diversifying its economy to reducedependence on oil exports.
Ambassador Nguyen Manh Cuong highlighted the hope to intensify ties withEquatorial Guinea of President Tran Dai Quang and other senior leaders ofVietnam.
He also pledged to work hard to bolster links between the twocountries.-VNA
Ambassador to Angola and Equatorial Guinea Do Ba Khoa has affirmed Vietnam’s desire and determination to further develop and deepen friendship and cooperation with Equatorial Guinea in all fields, especially areas of Vietnam’s strength.
President Tran Dai Quang hosted separate receptions for newly-accredited ambassadors to Vietnam in Hanoi on March 8, during which he called for the diplomats’ greater efforts to broaden bilateral wide-ranging cooperation.

The fact that the Vietnamese PM has been invited to attend and speak at this important event for three consecutive years reflects the WEF as well as the international business community's recognition and high regard for Vietnam's position, role, and contributions to global and regional economic growth.
