Embassy assists vaccination campaign for Vietnamese expats in Malaysia

Kuala Lumpur (VNA) – The Vietnamese Embassy inMalaysia in collaboration with the Vietnamese women’s union and competent Malaysianagencies organised vaccinations for 200 Vietnamese expats on September 4.

People vaccinated were Vietnamese workers and theirfamilies, all aged above 18.

Thu Hoa from Penang said the vaccination benefited 21Vietnamese workers from the Malaysian state, adding that she is moved by theassistance she has received.

She said she feels more secured after getting her shot onthe day and hoped more Vietnamese in Malaysia will be vaccinated.

Vietnamese Chargé d’Affaires Nguyen Hong Son informed thatthe embassy will further cooperate with competent agencies and Vietnamesecommunities so that more Vietnamese, including students and interns, will be inoculated.

Mobile vaccination campaigns will take place to support people in remote areas, he added.

Earlier, in mid-August, more than 500 Vietnamese in Malaysiawere vaccinated./.

“I Love My Country” media campaign launched

Running from August 4 to September 2, under the hashtag #TuHaoVietNam, the campaign invites participants in two categories: “I Love My Country” video clips and “I Love My Country” check-in photos.

With a tight 13-month deadline, the move is under a strategic and urgent policy to bridge educational gaps, train the local workforce, and shore up territorial sovereignty in some of the country’s most remote areas.
