Electronic information and education system launched

The Communist Party of Vietnam Central Committee's Commission for Information and Education launched its electronic information and education system VCNET at a ceremony in Hanoi on June 11.

Hanoi (VNA) – The CommunistParty of Vietnam Central Committee's Commission for Information and Educationlaunched its electronic information and education system VCNET at a ceremony inHanoi on June 11.

The system is a joint projectbetween the commission and the Military Industry Telecoms Group Viettel.

All citizens can join the networkby logging via the website //vcnet.vn or thesystem’s app for smartphones.

VCNET is estimated to save at least50 percent of the agency’s working time and cut about 90 percent of its timeused for document circulation.

Nguyen Thanh Long, deputy head ofthe commission, said the system will help manage activities of the informationand education sector nationwide by digitising most of its paperwork. It alsoserves as a social network to share official information about policies of theParty and State, he added.

Acting Chairman and General Director of ViettelMajor General Le Dang Dung said the group is committed to working with thecommission in improving the system toward efficiency.-VNA

“I Love My Country” media campaign launched

Running from August 4 to September 2, under the hashtag #TuHaoVietNam, the campaign invites participants in two categories: “I Love My Country” video clips and “I Love My Country” check-in photos.

With a tight 13-month deadline, the move is under a strategic and urgent policy to bridge educational gaps, train the local workforce, and shore up territorial sovereignty in some of the country’s most remote areas.
