The results were announced at a conference held by the Ministry ofLabour, War Invalids and Social Affairs (MOLISA) in Hai Phong city onApril 26.
At the conference, which aimed to reviewthe results of the project’s 2009-2011 second phase, MOLISA reportedthat through the project, close to 2,000 street children were providedwith vocational training and jobs with stable monthly incomes of between800,000 VND and 2 million VND.
Around 7,000children were given money to cover school fees and buy uniforms,learning devices and bicycles, while 6,700 others were provided withmedicine or health insurance.
The 50 billion VND project was carried out in 51 communes in 10 provinces and cities nationwide.-VNA
