E-Mart promotes Vietnamese Pho

E-Mart, a Korean retail giant, opened its first Pho restaurant at a supermarket in Goyang city in the Gyeonggi province on June 30.

E-Mart CEO Lee Gab-soo said the move is designed to promote Vietnamese cuisine and food products.

According to him, to preserve the original flavour, four chefs andall ingredients at the restaurant are from Vietnam . If the modeloperates successfully, it will be replicated at other E-martsupermarkets.

Vietnamese Ambassador to theRepublic of Korea (RoK) Pham Huu Chi lauded the company’s initiativeand hoped it would soon be multiplied within their store chains.

He proposed E-Mart boost its Vietnamese imports, especially food products.

E-mart boasts a chain of 148 supermarkets in the RoK with annual revenue reaching approximately 11 billion USD.-VNA

Running from August 4 to September 2, under the hashtag #TuHaoVietNam, the campaign invites participants in two categories: “I Love My Country” video clips and “I Love My Country” check-in photos.

With a tight 13-month deadline, the move is under a strategic and urgent policy to bridge educational gaps, train the local workforce, and shore up territorial sovereignty in some of the country’s most remote areas.
